RESULTS  - Ocean City, MD

The Pro Beach East/ AVP Qualifier event in Ocean City, MD hosted 30 men's teams and 12 women's teams on June 12-13. Todd Strassberger (VA) & Ihor Akinshyn (NJ) went undefeated over the two day tournament. They met Justin Phipps (FL) & Roger Corbit (FL) in the finals. The match was hotly contested with Ihor & Todd winning 19-17 in game three.

Andre Melo (FL) & Lucas Wisniakowski (CA) and Yariv Lerner (CA) & Travis Schoonover took third in the Olympic crossover format. (Full Men's results).

On the Women's side,The qualifier tour continues to have a difficult time drawing Women's teams, even though they are offered equal prize money ($5,000) and AVP points as the men. Dana Fiume (NY) & Shanya Munson (FL) won the 12 team Women's bracket by defeating Cindy Phillips (CA) & Gretchen Duffner (CA) in the finals (16-21, 21-18, 15-10). (Full Women's results)
