Former Toyota Pro Beach East player Phil Dalhausser along with partner Todd Rogers captured gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China early this morning.  Dalhausser, who played on the tour three years ago, and Rogers won in three sets 23-21, 17-21 and 15-4 to capture the gold medal over the Brazilian duo of Fabio and Marcio.

One of the top players on the PBE, Dalhausser moved on to the AVP in 2005 and since then has been named the AVP's Offensive Player of the Year each year and has won nearly 500,000 dollars in prize money.
